Workplace Learning Toolbox

The Workplace Learning Toolbox provides a range of downloadable videos with supporting learning materials, focusing on safety for young workers in different industries. The videos provide a realistic overview of the hazards that may be present in different workplaces by interviewing young staff, supervisors and business owners.

The toolbox is aimed at students undertaking work experience, structured workplace learning and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. The industry specific information provided in the resource (ten industries are covered) would be valuable for students who are entering a workplace for the first time. There are also more general materials which cover bullying and harassment and common workplace hazards.

Only VELS links are provided, however, the resource could be easily adapted to suit VCAL students.
