McDonald's worker gets hand trapped

POLICE, ambulance crews and firefighters swarmed on a Ballarat McDonald’s store on Saturday after a teenage employee had part of her arm trapped in machinery during work.

Ambulance Victoria spokesperson John Mullen said crews were called to the Bakery Hill McDonald’s just after midday on Saturday.

“An 18-year-old female attempting to get to a plastic bag got her hand caught in a machine for about five minutes,” he said.

“Restaurant management placed ice on the hand wound until ambulance arrived.

“She was treated for bruising by ambulance officers, but not taken to hospital.”
